When leading global pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson wanted to increase employee referrals, we knew that our experience and expertise would be a shot in the arm for their recruitment strategy.

Two challenges in one

The challenge was twofold - to grow the number of employee referrals and reduce external hiring costs, while raising the profile of the new recruitment team. What's more, our campaign needed to fit their existing brand guidelines and be flexible enough to be rolled out externally at recruitment exhibitions up and down the country.

Making our mark

Our starting point was the company's BE VITAL logo, and it triggered an idea for a month-long campaign that focused on touching lives and making your mark. An illustrated thumbprint put fundamental business elements at the heart of the campaign and the drive was supported with html emails, ceiling hangers, posters, postcards, floor stickers, pull-up stands, and (our favourite) heat sensitive business cards.

Not only did we deliver on time and to budget, around 50% of roles are now recruited through direct sources, which means our campaign received a big thumbs up from the client.
