Magnet not only wanted their customers to see them as a supplier of high quality kitchens - they wanted to be viewed as a tasty employer, too. And that's where we came in. The team already made use of lots of other recruitment channels, but stores were a missed opportunity - especially when most trade and customer conversations happened right here on their home turf.

Mini toolkits, maxi impact

We worked with Magnet’s resourcing team to create a clear and simple toolkit so store teams had everything they needed to attract the best local talent. It set the scene so managers and employees knew what ‘good’ looked like, and gave them the confidence to recruit people for their own store. Oh, and it was also available online and in nicely designed mini hard copy versions too, to suit all situations.

The proof is in the pudding

The toolkits wowed Magnet's teams from day one. But the proof that we were really onto something was that managers were finally starting to take charge, talk to people in store, and get new talent on board. And that mini guide? Well, it also wowed the judges at the Recruitment Business Awards 2015 too, as it picked up the award for ‘Best recruitment literature’.
