The Chat w/c 28th Feb

By Chatter, on 04th March 2011

Had a few interesting projects to finish off this week for United Biscuits and Write Research Group, which seemed to consume most of the week. Didn’t stop me catching up with old contacts though across both sides of the Pennines. Really great to see so much interest for the business, and genuine support. It’s right what they say. It’s not what you know, but who you know! I also forgot how painful the rush hour traffic is on the M1 to Leeds and M62 to Manchester, but I best get used to it again soon, only 4 weeks to launch. On the home front, I had a couple of badminton matches this week, both really hard games and the back has started to play up again, so I’m trying to find a decent Chiropractor, but on a lighter note I took my son Louis to see X Factor live at Sheffield Arena which, I’m not ashamed to admit was great. Particularly Cher Lloyd and Matt Cardle. Bless Louis though, it was a school night and he looked shattered from about 8pm, but he was determined not to fall asleep.

The business end:

  • Met with 3 prospective clients
  • Went to see our temporary ‘office’ home in Horsforth
  • Pulled together a social media policy for a client
  • Worked on the guest list for launch
