Where we started
Rapidly growing fast food business Five Guys wanted us to help nail its EVP and develop an employer brand to bring the ‘Five Guys way’ to life. Working in the industry can be tough and demands serious stamina - they needed the right people to join the team to make sure they stayed.
What we did
Our EVP research tool HUME confirmed the brilliant career development and rewards Five Guys offers along with some lesser-known insights. From that we developed a creative direction focused on attracting people made of ‘the right stuff’. We rolled this out across a new careers site with a suite of videos including lots of ‘fly-on-the-wall’ Go-Pro style footage to give a feel for being part of the Five Guys’ family.

People leaving in their first 3 months down from 53% to 31%
What it delivered
‘The right stuff’ now appears across the company’s careers site, PDPs, internal comms, newsletters and recognition scheme. The hero video alone reached more than 73,000 users and drove 10,853 clicks through to the careers site. The number of people leaving in their first 3 months went from 53% to 31% and Five Guys’ overall attrition reduced heavily too.
