When we helped launch Flutter UKI’s People Expo project, we knew we were delivering something big. But what we didn’t know at the time was that we were creating one of 2024’s must-read case studies in the people comms sector.
The huge People Expo project we delivered for Flutter last year is now a multiple award winner (RADS 2024, ICE Awards 2024). And with even more nominations dropping in this week, it’s turning into one of this year’s must-read case studies for anyone connected to the people comms and employer branding industry.
As you might already know, Flutter UKI’s vision was to create a new divisional approach. One that’s not too dissimilar to Diageo, Unilever and Procter & Gamble, who are all household names in their own right before you even get to their amazing customer facing brands. But whilst Flutter UKI has some of the biggest names in the gaming industry on their books - such as Sky Betting & Gaming, Betfair and Paddy Power - they were also relatively unknown as an employer.
So, they asked us to deliver a piece of engagement and insight that would bring their 3000+ strong workforce from the UK and Ireland, Romania, Portugal, Hyderabad and Malta on a journey. Ultimately, it was about using the insight we’d collect to help create divisional values that aligned everyone behind the same goals, no matter which brand they worked on.
This was a new and different way for the business to work. So discovering those values meant doing something just as different.
That ‘something’ needed to engage the majority of those colleagues. And it needed to make sure as many of their voices were heard, and that people’s individual input would be reflected in the end result. So, during April and May 2023, we partnered with Flutter UKI to deliver the biggest and most ambitious research and insight project we (and maybe even our entire industry!) have ever done.
Not only did the project deliver some impressive results for Flutter UKI, it also opened our industry’s eyes to a brand new way of engaging people.
In fact, we believe that creating large-scale, collaborative people experiences just like this is fast becoming the go-to solution when it comes to engaging colleagues and gathering insight across all kinds of workplaces.
You had to be there to really experience the magic of Flutter UKI’s People Expo for yourself. But you can get a taste of what it was all about in the video above.
As an agency, we couldn’t be more proud of the role we played in making it happen - and of the skills and expertise we bring as a team to help our clients make a big impact.
So, if you’re thinking about doing something like this yourself, get in touch. All those awards say we can probably help - in a way that’s bigger than you might expect!
