Looking for a transfer?
Seeing as though we're talking about transferable skills, this is a great time to mention that we're looking for more fabulous folks to transfer to the team here at Chatter!
First up, we’re after a Creative Director. Someone who’ll join us as a senior member of the team, keep pace with our growth, and help shape our business so that creative is firmly at its core. Someone who’s a big thinker. Someone who has a no-nonsense approach. Someone who can deliver work with proper wow. Someone just like us, in fact.
We’re also keeping an eye out for a talented Account Manager who’ll share our passion for what we do and the way we do it and provide our fab clients with a brilliant experience day in, day out.
Interested? Here’s a bit more info to get stuck in to…
She's been to Ellen’ back
Fresh faced from 5 months of exploring Canada and the US on her snowboard, Ellen (AKA the best filer that Lisa, Paul and Jon have ever had) just joined the team as a Client Partner – and we couldn’t be more chuffed!
After studying a Linguistics degree and not quite knowing what to do with it, she took a job as a temp in a large agency, where she ended up staying and progressing into consumer advertising and marketing, and she’s not looked back since. With a pretty impressive CV including Saatchi & Saatchi and JWT in Sydney under her belt, she’s followed her roots back to Leeds to settle down with her fella and throw herself into life at the Roost.
Beer, pizza and UX design
Last week, our friends over at Sky Betting & Gaming launched their first ever Design Works event. Following a week of internal activities, workshops and charity work, the design teams opened up their doors to share a collection of talks by internal colleagues and external guests.
After a bottle of DevHops and a few (okay more than a few) slices of pizza, head of design James McPherson kicked things off with a welcome.
Dr Lucy Buykx took us on a rollercoaster ride through the importance user research. Next, Sheffield based studio Side by Side showed us the power of emotion in design and Delhi belly (but we'll save that story for another day!), And finally, a panel of design and UX leaders opened it up to the room, answering a bunch of questions that ranged from who are you voting for?' to 'can you describe the future of design in 3 words?' (the answer was User Centred Design, if you're wondering).
We're looking forward to the next one (and the beer and pizza) already!
