Ellen
Head of Employer Brand
My role tends to involve spending a lot of time getting to know our clients, their business, their challenges, their goals.
What brought you to employer branding?
I fell into the world of recruitment advertising after graduating from university, my filing skills (ask anyone, I'm a great filer) landed me a job working with Lisa, Paul and Jon at an agency in Leeds. After a few years of learning the ropes I moved into the world of consumer brand and marketing, working with some big brand names first in the UK and then for a few years in Australia.
When making the move back to the UK I jumped at the chance to work with Lisa, Paul and Jon at Chatter. The relationship between consumer and employer brand is so important to the success of a business - now more so than ever before - I was excited to apply the experience I'd gained and grab the opportunity to work with like-minded clients.
Tell us about a project that you feel proud of.
My role tends to involve spending a lot of time getting to know our clients, their business, their challenges, their goals. My favourite projects are without a doubt, the ones that involve working in partnership with our clients to become an extension of their team. This means we can really understand where the long and short term priorities lie and how best to make an impact. We're lucky to work with many clients that encourage this way of working, I wouldn't want to pick a favourite 😉.
If you had to sum Chatter up in three words what would they be?
smart. curious. optimistic.
When you’re not working, what gets you out of bed on a weekend?
A run with the pooch, proper coffee (yes I'm a coffee snob), chasing my nearly one year old around the house - not necessarily in that order.
